Paul Pribuss, MFT
Who I Am
Paul Pribuss is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing in Marin County. With his company, Marin Drug Recovery, he is licensed under the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, #MFC 35911.
During his first career he ran a family construction business in San Francisco. Desiring a different path for his life he took up the pursuit of psychotherapy. He works with adults and adolescents in individual, couple and family formats.
Due to his own recovery history he focuses on Chemical Dependency as well as Marital and Family Relationships. Paul has 30 years experience in the substance abuse field having worked at North Bay Recovery Center, Henry Ohlhoff, Marin Treatment Center, and Managed Health Net. He has also served as the drug diversion instructor through the Marin County Probation Department and has performed crisis counseling for major insurance companies. He was the director of the Pacific Institute, a non-profit residential geriatric facility, where he supervised therapists-in-training.
Trust & Experience
He currently facilitates the Re-Entry Group at San Quentin State Prison in conjunction with the Catholic Chapel on a pro-bono basis.
Paul achieved his undergraduate degree at Santa Clara University and his masters at Dominican University’s school of Clinical Psychology, M.S. He brings extensive experience to his work as a parent, administrator and counselor. He incorporates cognitive behavioral, family-systems and brief therapy into his practice.
